The Challenge:

To develop a unified process for customer on boarding and develop an integrated internal delivery model with the ability to incorporate each of the numerous organizational components. The objective of this initiative is to define the current state process, asses the efficiency quotient and provide a comprehensive "To-Be" state to improve the entire program. This initiative required TSI to quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of the entire business process within a wide representation of the organization and then identify and document best practices.

TSI Approach:

Interview a targeted sample set of personnel that included representation from IT, sales, the executive management team and the technical and delivery teams to establish the current embedded process. Determine the best unified path to optimize their delivery model and document the process. We then developing these processes to clarify roles & responsibilities and accelerate decision making within the organization. This approach would facilitate a projectized client on-boarding program. We also recommended a new communication model that would facilitate further collaboration with internal team members, stakeholders and external client teams as an output.

Final Solution:

The final deliverables for this phase of the project were a comprehensive visual representation (Quadmap) showing the entire on boarding process from idea to invoice. Additionally, a project management office was established to further support, monitor, manage and resource new projects within the organization. This served as the catalyst for organizational change, enhanced communication within the various organizational components and the adoption of "To Be" best practices throughout the organization.

Client Results:

Client placed the end-to-end process posters throughout the sales organization and is currently using the detailed posters to aid in delivering new clients through the organizations as they are delivered from the sales team. Additional benefits were realized as the value of discovery once again demonstrated the gaps, replication and inefficacies of the organization and our unique ability to show this in a way that helps the organization re-invent themselves in a constructive manner.
