Sales Account Executive:

JOB SUMMARY:

Create and maintain relationships with new organizations to build TSI's client base and support company growth objectives. Sell products and services to new customers, close contracts, meet defined monthly goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Secure sales orders from existing and potential customers by visiting customer facilities and contacting customers by phone.
  • Establish professional relationships with appropriate customer personnel, secure opportunities to quote on customer requirements, follow-up on quotations submitted to customers, and investigate and resolve customer problems.
  • Develop, update and submit territory sales forecast on a regular basis.
  • Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, card deck leads, aged leads, bingos, dealer resellers, business directories, websites, and other sources.
  • Complete suspect identification, planning, account qualification and needs analysis at all prospect levels.
  • Telephone sales prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify leads and drive sales through the pipeline.
  • Provide quotes, prices and credit terms to customers and prepare sales orders for orders obtained.
  • Estimate dates of service and/or product delivery to customers based on knowledge of company resource availability and schedules.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and communicate sales activities and issues to management.
  • Enter customer data into sales tracking database and work with Inside Sales Consultant to maintain sales account activity data.
  • Promote TSI products and services at trade shows, conferences, local industry meetings and other promotional events.
  • Identify revenue opportunities within prospective customer communities through communications, programs and other sales and marketing activities.
  • Perform telemarketing, cold calling and appointment setting activities with targeted businesses to generate sales.

SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with special projects and other tasks as necessary to meet business needs.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Six years of sales experience required, including sales experience in a consulting or professional services environment. Sales experience with project management products and services and/or Big Four consulting firm preferred. Must have a valid Texas driver's license.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and sales tracking software applications. Must have the ability to:

  • Quickly develop a thorough knowledge of company products and project management industry.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS

The responsibilities of this position require the ability to operate a vehicle, use a computer and/or telephone for more than five hours per day, and occasionally stand and walk. This position also requires the ability to see, write, talk, and hear to fulfill the essential job functions.
